A paradise
The idea of paradise has been an important one throughout history. Its power is in its ability to make human life meaningful and bearable, despite the fact it's inevitably temporary. Paradise is a sanctuary of peace and prosperity. It is a place that is not part of normal historical times and is therefore immune to crime, sickness or death. It is also a location that is populated by eternally healthy and youthful beings.
Paradise is described in a variety of ways It ranges from the Garden of Eden of the Bible to the lush Pacific Ocean islands of novels and Gauguin's paintings. It is even visible in the modern world thanks to the popularity of communes and the renewed interest in outdoor living and gardening. In fact the word "utopiana" conjures up images of paradise. While not all utopias have religious inclinations, they usually contain motifs of paradise. They are also designed to attain some of the characteristics and attributes of paradise in reality.
The word"paradise" has many different meanings however, they all refer to an environment or state of extreme beauty and pleasure. It can also be an ideal location for a particular activity or pastime. For example golfers' paradise or a hummingbird's. In a religious context, it may refer to heaven, which is the home of the righteous after death.
Several different languages have used the word paradise, but it was first used in the ancient Iranian language of Avestan. The word is pairidaeza, or "walled enclosure," from the roots pairi, "around," and daeza, "wall." It was later included in the Hebrew and other Aramaic texts as paradeisos, and later was later adapted into Greek which later became paradise.
In the Bible, paradise is the Garden of Eden, where the first couple lived in a gorgeous environment that was free from diseases and death. The paradise was lost however, when they disobeyed God. In later Bible prophecies, paradise is described as a location in the eschatological future, where the happy people of the world can live forever. The word paradise is also used to refer to the state of mind or spiritual that is full of joy and happiness.
